All Bethel adults are encouraged to enjoy the fun, fellowship, caring, and growth that happens as we get together in small groups. As we approach the month of October the following groups are meeting or getting ready to launch. Several of the groups have met already, a few are at capacity, and most of the rest will get going the week of Sept. 25th. Please call or e-mail me or the office or the leader of the group if you have questions about a particular group. DivorceCare began on 9/20 with 10 in attendance. It looks like the Tues Men’s Frat will be 5 or 6 and the early Wed. a.m. group 8-10.
Other Opportunities for Connecting at Bethel In addition to the wonderful tradition of a monthly lunch gathering for Senior Adults, there are some great events being planned for our over 50 or 55 (whatever it is) group. Another church calls their group LAFF (Life After Fifty Five). So, you folks - you know who you are – please be aware of the great opportunities being planned by/for you such as the “bus-do-you-see-those-leaves! tour” on Monday, Oct. 10, the game days beginning on Oct. 22, and the Pie at the Petersons’ on Nov. 7th. Check for more details on this on the Senior Adult Ministry Page. Some larger group social activities are being contemplated for the many younger adults of Bethel.
If you have ideas on this and/or may want to be in on the plans, please contact Steve Rick or Pastor Glenn. Also, a small group for young families with small children may come together, maybe even with some grandpas and grandmas to help out with food and childcare. Please let me know if you have thoughts or are interested in this.
Baptism Service
Several people will be baptized on Sunday, October 9. If now may be the time for you be baptized as a believer in and follower of Jesus, please contact the church office so one of the pastors can connect further with you about this.
Discovery Class
This class is the place to learn more about Bethel Baptist Church – who we are, what we believe, where we have come from and where we are headed. We also cover what it means to be a member of this church and the process for becoming a member.
This class will meet on Thursday, October 13, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Please note the change in date … meeting on Oct. 13 (not Oct 6)
