Bethel is located within walking distance of the MNSU Mankato campus, at the corner of Monks Ave. and Balcerzak Dr. This location is purposeful. Students are learning not only classroom information, but what it means to be an adult and make decisions for themselves. We believe that it is essential that these students have an opportunity to hear about Jesus and how what he accomplished on the cross for them impacts their lives today and their futures tomorrow. It is our desire to be a family away from home for college students and other young adults. We have close connections with on campus organizations like InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, CRU, Athletes in Action, and Navigators. Students can also connect with our Associate Pastor, Steve Douglas, on campus Thursday afternoons during the semester.
We also desire to be a safe and friendly home for international students. We recognize the wonderful opportunity God has provided in bringing people from other nations to our doorstep. We host dinners twice a year in conjunction with the MNSU International Student and Scholar Services office and other events throughout the year. We also work with the Bridges organization to connect international students to American students and families. Our commitment is to connect with these students and learn from them about their cultures as much as we teach them about ours.
We have lots of opportunities for young adults to get involved at Bethel. During the school year we hold a Young Adult Fellowship every Sunday at 9:45am; a free college and young adult luncheon every 2nd Sunday after the 11am service; quarterly “Film and Theology” nights; and many other fun events and service opportunities throughout the year. Come check us out!
