Bethel Baptist Church

Rev. Jerry David, along with his wife Dorphia, is part of the American Missionary Fellowship organization, but the Davids live right here in Mankato.  Jerry's ministry, begun in 2004, is called Gentle Shepherd Ministries. Jerry has built an amazing network of outreach ministries to senior citizens in nursing homes and senior housing, and to inmates in county jails throughout south-central Minnesota.

 

  Jerry has a tender heart toward those in society who are often forgotten.  Enlisting the help of local Christians from many area churches, he coordinates Bible studies, church services and visitation to seniors, and Bible studies and support groups for those in jail or in halfway houses.  Through these outreaches, Jerry and the volunteers regularly see people coming to Christ.
