Bethel Baptist Church

Wilondja is originally from Congo in Africa.  He has been a pastor and on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ for many years.  He has four grown children, and his first wife died a number of years ago.  Shirley grew up in Rockford, Illinois.  She taught math in the U.S., and then in Nigeria.  She also worked with Campus Crusade, and then went to Cameroon with the BGC from 1994-1998, where she met Wilondja.  After their marriage, the Masongezis spent 4 years (2001-2005) in the Ivory Coast, until political unrest there forced them to leave. We as a church have supported them since 2000.

 
Wilondja and Shirley have been church planting in Quebec, Canada until recently. They are now in Georgia raising funds to do church planting in Cameroon. Please check back here for updates on their progress or check the missionary updates section of our website.
